Explore the role of a Television presenter. This seven session course will guide you through many of the skills needed for professional presentation. The classes are also relevant for those wishing to develop their abilities in other areas of presenting.

Aspects covered:

• Understanding the pre-production process
• Relating to the camera
• Engaging the audience
• Techniques for relaxation
• Creating believability - Keeping it real !!!!!!!
• Identifying and telling the story
• Devising content
• Interviewing techniques including tools to help connect with the interviewee
• How to interact and really listen
• Practical application of presenting to the camera
• Performing for promos
• Dealing with time constraints and other distractions
• Accepting direction and making offers
• Keeping a spontaneous approach to presenting
• An introduction to voice over
• An introduction to auto-cue

The final exercise is to prepare and shoot a segment including an interview, two 'pieces to camera' and a voice over.

FINAL ASSESSMENT SESSION: Saturday 10th December at 3.30pm.
