EVENING MASTERCLASS " DATES: 3rd TERM 2008 Monday 7th July to 8th September
(10 weeks, each session 2.5 hour) Actors make their own choice as to which group is appropriate for them in ALL other REHEARSAL ROOM classes. THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH "MASTER CLASS 1". Actors need to be of a proven standard to attend this class. AN AUDITION MAY BE NECESSARY. This is a class for actors who have a functioning active performance process in place. They must be able to move freely between choices of sub-text; identify and deliver story; comfortably play turning points and moments of choice; trust and manipulate impulses; understand and deliver moments of surprise and LISTEN actively. THE MASTER CLASS AIMS:- To explore, test and expand the acting process of the actors in the group. Using challenging scenes the actors will explore rehearsal process, impulse work and internal monologue. Actors are not only working towards being proficient but their AIM IS TO STANDOUT. FINAL CLASS - BE DIRECTED BY AN EXPERIENCED GUEST DIRECTOR - previous participants have been Richard Jasek (Director McLeod's Daughters, Secret Life of Us); Denny Lawrence (Director/Producer Screentime/ABC, JNP Films); Peter Dodds (Producer Neighbours); Steve Jodrell (Director McLeod's Daughters, Stingers); Chris Langman (Director Blue Heelers, Neighbours); Grant Brown (Director Blue Heelers, Under Belly). THE COST: $495 (including GST) - for 25 hours tuition over
