A WORKSHOP for "The TV Presenter 2" (Level TWO)

A REMARKABLE OPPORTUNITY to gain work experience as a presenter/reporter.

This workshop is aimed at those who have attended the 'LEVEL ONE TV PRESENTERS WORKSHOP'. If you haven't attended the previous level and wish to enroll, places will be allocated on audition.

In 2006 places become available as soon as clients want a project made. (Enquire Now)

OPPORTUNITIES ARE LIMITED.

Elements of the course :

  • Re-fresh and expand presenting and intervewing skills (1st three sessions).
  • Interview client to define brief (under supervision)
  • Research content (under supervision)
  • Prepare story structure and script outline (under supervision)
  • Organise script approval from client. (under supervision)
  • Do the on-camera presenting for the one day shoot.
  • Do the interviewing for the shoot
  • Assist with the shoot.
  • Spend a half day at the initial edit.
  • Write commentary (under supervision)
  • Record voice over.

Course Structure

3 Sessions reviewing and refreshing presenters skills.
(Planning for the shoot begins during this time.)

Time will need to be spent outside class times developing, researching and preparing material

Meetings
Weekday meetings with the client. (2 meetings of this kind may be required)
One-on-one half hour meetings with Richard to review script and plans as required.
Plus Production Meeting - prior to shoot.

Shoot
A full day shoot will be conducted on a weekday. (THIS WILL BE AT A MUTUALLLY AGREED TIME BUT PRESENTERS MUST BE ABLE TO MAKE THEMSELVES AVAILABLE FOR A WHOLE DAY.)

Edit
Editing sessions and Voice Over recording sessions can be organized at times that are mutually satisfactory.

Presenters will receive a completed copy of finished edit on DVD and VHS tape a mini-DV copy can also be provided (if tape supplied).

THE WORKSHOP IS AIMED AT GIVING PARTICPANTS HANDS ON WORK EXPERIENCE PLUS THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A PIECE OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY FOR THEIR REEL.

If upon completion of the project the client decides they wish to purchase the project then UP TO 30% OF THE COURSE FEE can be returned to the presenter. It is possible that if the client wants extra material shot that the presenter may be rehired for the additional material. Payment for any extra work will be negotiated at the time of commissioning.

ALL PROGRAMME CONTENT WILL HOWEVER BELONG TO THE REHEARSAL ROOM.

GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING. BUILD THE SKILLS

Jules Lund believes the skills he learnt at the Rehearsal Room are important in his current role as a 'Getaway' presenter. His interview is featured on the Rehearsal Room web-site HERE.

The final exercise - prepare and shoot a segment including an interview, two 'pieces to camera' and a voice over.

Enquire about this course which starts on Saturday 29th July from 2pm-6pm. The final session on 16th September will review the final exercise and give final assessment.
