"Make a Movie" - An Acting Workshop for Teenagers

DATES:
TIMES: 10am - 3pm
VENUE:
The Rehearsal Room, 18 Clendon Road, Armadale.

These holidays YOU can act in a movie (17 minutes approx.). Over 5 consecutive days you can act in a short film shot by a professional director.

THE STORY - A group of teenagers get together to make a film. It's meant to be a comedy but with open competition over who is to play which role there is plenty of drama surrounding the making of this comedy.

A story which explores responsibility, trust and friendship.

Actors will be able to make some contributions to story content and development. (CLICK HERE FOR CHARACTER NOTES AND MORE DETAILS ON THE STORY)

INCLUDED IN THE WEEK'S ACTIVITIES:

  • Exploring character
  • Basic screen acting lessons
  • Creating story
  • Exploring improvisation
  • Learning about 'continuity'
  • Leaning about the shooting process
  • Experiencing the 'shoot'
  • Having fun.

12 to 17 Age Group:

COST: $470 (total fees to be paid by December 5th 2006.)
DEPOSIT: $150

LIMITED PLACES - a DVD or VHS tape of the production is included.
