“EVENING MASTERCLASS - 2"

DAYS AND TIMES FOR THIS CLASS ARE NEGOTIATED BY THE GROUP - Sunday classes are one option but weeknight classes are sometimes possible.
VENUE: The Rehearsal Room, 18 Clendon Road, Armadale.

This class is for actors with high level of working process who wish to expand their skills. Entry is by audition.

THE MASTER CLASS AIMS:- To explore, test and expand the acting process of the actors in the group. Actors are reaching for brighter and bolder colours, greater moments of danger, adventurous turning points and trusted moments of surprise. Using challenging scenes the actors will explore rehearsal process and spheres of concentration. They work on breaking down old boudaries and moving into new areas with confidence. Here is the potential for actors to create characters very different from themselves.

PARTICIPATING ACTORS NEED TO BE PREPARED TO:

• Seek out and supply scenes to work on with the group
• Contribute to the structure and development of the class
• Actively self-assess performance process as well as contribute to the assessment of others

FINAL EXERCISE - INVOLVES SHOOTING SCENES FROM A COMPLETED SCRIPT. SOME GROUPS HAVE CREATED THEIR OWN SCRIPT THROUGH IMPROVISATION.
