Richard was born in 1947. He finished school in Perth W.A. in 1964 and immediately headed for Melbourne to work at the ABC. His goal was to become a director. Twenty five years of directing TV drama for all the major networks allowed him to explore the uniquely practical techniques that he now teaches to actors.
