In a supportive and encouraging environment, these sessions will boost your child's confidence and trust in imaginative play.
What your child will learn?
1) To be playful in an imaginative world
The imagination is an important playground for actors of all ages. This is a key focus of these sessions.
2) Build confidence in the choices they make
Learning should always be fun and especially so for this age group. Your child will be supported in enjoying to trust themselves in embarking on their acting adventure.
3) Explore techniques for playing scenes or monologues
Use The Rehearsal Room acting process to explore scenes & monologue work, and develop confidence and trust in themselves and their choices.
4) Experience improvisation techniques
Theatresports exercises are developed deeper, to generate further creativity and stronger impulses
5) Explore the power of the voice
Voice exercises to help them get comfortable with their voice
6) Be skilled at functioning in a group
Acting is a collaborative art. It provides a great structure to practice sharing ideas, taking direction and developing as a leader..

Silvana Vaxelaire has been acting professionally for 25 years in television, film and theatre. She has appeared in numerous theatre productions across NSW & Victoria, worked in film & television and has worked extensively in children’s theatre, shows, concerts and special events, as a host, teacher, actor, dancer, and choreographer.
Silvana trained in drama at The Ensemble Studios, NSW, Deakin Univ. Victoria, and many other schools for on-going training; and in dance at Tony Bartuccio’s Dance Centre, Victoria. She has taught drama for various schools including the Victorian Youth Theatre, Stagecoach, Drama Time, Frankston Arts Centre, and Drama With A Difference, while still performing regularly. She has also choreographed for several theatre companies, and written short stories and poetry.
