"The Crying Game"

DATES: Saturday 1st November & 8th November 2008
TIMES: 2pm - 6pm
VENUE:
The Rehearsal Room, 18 Clendon Road, Armadale.

It is something we do a lot when we are young.

It is something girls do more of than boys.

And it is something (like a lot of acting skills) that gets harder as we grow up.

Shedding tears on cue is not an essential skill for an actor but it is a very useful one.

Australian director Bruce Beresford in Adam Macaulay's book "DON'T TELL ME, SHOW ME" recounts that Sharon Stone can control her crying to the point that she can determine from which eye she will cry. This is a skill that can be perfected but being able to achieve the fundamentals is where everyone must start.

THIS WORKSHOP with JOHN HIGGINSON & RICHARD SARELL explores the fundamentals. WEEK 1 - explore the theory. WEEK 2 - put it into practice.

Understanding and controlling crying - a workshop that will build skill.

COST: $176 - for 8 hours tuition over 2 days

This workshop is open to anyone. It is not necessary to be well versed in Rehearsal Room process to be eligible to attend this workshop .
