OPTION 1 : Self
Test out your skills by preparing an audition yourself. The scenes are provided by the casting directors and distributed by The Rehearsal Room approximately a fortnight before the workshop.
Each Saturday is scheduled and specific times allocated for each actors audition.
SATURDAY ONE: Present your audition to the Casting Director and hear their assessment of your skills. After the audition review your audition videotape with Richard Sarell for further feedback and comments. (See list for dates and names)
SATURDAY TWO: Present your audition to a different Casting Director for assessment and after the audition review your audition videotape with Richard Sarell for further feedback and comments.
The Rehearsal Room provides a reader but actors can also choose to use someone from the group or provide their own reader. Actors audition in a studio space with only the casting director and the reader present. The other actors in the workshop watch the auditions on a monitor in another room. This makes the audition experience similar to real circumstances and provides a good environment to both test your skills and learn from others.
