Short Film - 'Come on Pilgrim'

"Come on Pilgrim" is a short film that follows two strangers- cum-companions on an adventure that spans the gritty life of the late night city streets and of suburbia. Begrudged and fed-up museum worker, Chris, has had enough of the struggle of trying to find meaning in life outside of spirituality, culminating in the decision to take his own life. A contentedly simple and carefree wanderer, Oliver, intervenes in Chris's plight and encourages him to make the most of the opportunities that have arisen with the forfeitting of social responsibilities, considering he plans to be dead by sunrise. The film purports to comment on the crises of the middle class atheist... whilst also being alot of fun.

"Come on Pilgrim" is a Curtin University third year film production, with a one minute pilot for the film being shot over 2 nights in the week commencing May 7th (subject to Talents'availability) and the 10 minute film being shot later in the year.

CAN-IT PRODUCTIONS seeks actors for the following parts:

Chris: Male, Mid-Late 20's, a middle class atheist, an intelligent and serious over-thinker. Requires an ability to reflect a large range of emotion for dramatic and comical effect with depth and maturity that translates well on-screen.

Oliver: Male, Mid-Late 20's, a carefree/ happy-go-lucky fella, a bit rough around the edges, reflecting a life on the streets. An individual with an infectious personality whose logic outshines Chris's overwrought analytical thoughts.

Auditions for the pilot will be held at Curtin University on Thursday April 26- Saturday April 28.
